Artizan Street Library & Community Centre

An upcycle success story, this former multi story car park was transformed into a Library and Community Centre for the local residents of Spitalfields. This vital resource is located at the heart of this thriving East London community.
The building provides two floors of multifunctional spaces, its furniture designed to be flexible, and adaptable to the needs of a diverse and thriving community. The Centre comprises of a Library for all ages, training facilities with I.T and conference provision for of up to 50 people including an on-site catering provision. The comprehensive range of scheduled classes, courses, and events are designed for the wellbeing of everyone. The Metropolitan Chess Club founded in 1890 is the oldest chess club in London and continues its tradition alongside a range of impressive cultural activities.
